2012 - REDSHIRT SEASON
Started the first seven games of the season at catcher before having her season end due to an ACL injury...hit .136 (3-22) and drove in a run...had seven assists and threw out one candidate for a stolen base...recorded first career hit against Dayton (Feb. 24)...went two-for-three with a RBI against Troy (Feb. 25).

HIGH SCHOOL
Played softball and volleyball at Canton GlenOak High School...earned three letters in softball and was forced to miss freshman campaign with a torn ACL...changed primary positions three times: played shortstop as a sophomore, first base as a junior and catcher as a senior...honorable mention All-Federal league selection as a sophomore in 2009...earned first team all-league honors as a junior in 2010 and then again as a senior in 2011...hit .573 with 23 RBIs as a senior.

Born December 27, 1992 in Canton, Ohio... daughter of Bill and JoAnne McNew...has two siblings, an older brother Brian and a younger sister, Rachel...sang in the choir at GlenOak High School and earned an academic letter and the Award of Merit...hopes to be a college strength and conditioning coach...intends to major in exercise science and nutrition.
